8 days in the UK

It’s been ages since I posted anything on my ‘WordPress’ site, but here goes, After I finished my performances at The Basel Tattoo in July this year, I headed off to the U.K. for 8 days ‘r and r’. I spent most of my time in London but took 4 ‘day’ trips on trains to Portsmouth, Brighton; Dover; Liverpool and Cardiff. Here’s a few shots from around London.

The Millennium Bridge, officially known as the London Millennium Footbridge, it is a footbridge that links Bankside with The City of London.

  1. Hi Lance, love ,love your vision of things. Very different and interesting views. Wow! How’s retirement. Have to have you guys around for a catch up for xmas and a bullshit session. Miss our chats in the morning. I guess you get updates from Jackie about stuff. It’s pretty bad and dysfunctional. Can’t really understand what the hell is going on. Looking forward to the break. Hope there’s a gig when we come back. Who know’s? Been pretty busy outside of SAPOL and that is a good thing. Ben and Amanda opened in Paris last Friday for an 8 week season. They will be home in Jan. for about two weeks. Sharon and I have booked our next trip. June next year we go for a month to Vienna, Germany Switzerland and Spain.Ben and Amanda have time off through June so will be with them for some of it. Can’t wait.  Hope all is well with you and Grand father hood. See you at the xmas concert?……You do have tickets? hee hee! Cheers Steve

    1. Hi Steve, Glad you liked the pics, I had a great time over there, I don’t know whether I really enjoyed it or I was just so completely relieved at having finished with the band, a bit of both I think!
Love to catch up at some stage, yes, I miss our little chats, Jacki keeps me up to speed plus I saw Nick and Carol at Bob’s 60th. Barb and I are going to Belgium, France (Brittany) and The western Front’ next year in July, looking forward to that.
Enjoying not coming to work, just spending time at home, getting things done, no gigs, don’t want any, haven’t played since the last day in Basel.
We are going to see the ‘Stones’ next year, probably the last chance I’ll get. As a result of buying those tickets I can’t quite stretch the pension to buying Xmas Concert tickets, I’m REALLY sorry ’bout that. We’re around for these holidays, maybe a catch up when your not to busy.
      Lance
